Electric Prairie
Kansas City's favorite roots, bluegrass and gospel band
Electric Prairie

Electric Prairie has engaged and uplifted audiences in Kansas City and throughout the midwest for 8 years.

Their shows feature great variety, from smoking hot guitar solos to sweet vocal harmonies.  From raucous bluegrass songs to tender ballads of love and loss.

The group is perhaps best known for its bluegrass Gospel music, featuring traditional songs, popular songs and originals.

About the band

Paul Wenske and Nancy Meis are the husband and wife team that form the core of the band.  They're picking and strumming on guitar and mandolin while weaving perfect harmonies in the vocals.

Roland Manbeck joins on harmonica, adding a bluesy touch to the group's sound.  Newest member, Bill Powell, brings his talent on guitar, bass, and mandolin to round out the sound.

The band is frequently joined by some of the most talented guest artists in the Kansas City area, including, frequently, Paul and Nancy's two adult children, Alexis and Chris.
